Are the offers made by telecommunications companies that provide free calls and internet in exchange for remaining with them or switching to them permissible or forbidden, and is it considered a bartering if the primary intention is to benefit from these offers?

There is no legal impediment to competitive offers from companies, nor to accepting a company's offer to encourage it to reduce the subscription fee or provide free services. Benefiting from these discounts or services is permissible.

However, it must be noted that the contract between the subscriber and the company is a binding lease contract (ijara lazima), and it is not permissible to terminate it before its term expires without the company's consent. Nor is it permissible for another company to incite the subscriber to terminate it.
