A committed young man fell into adultery and then repented with sincere repentance, but Satan whispers to him that he is among the people of Hell. He asks how to respond, especially with Ramadan approaching and his psychological state deteriorating.

Adultery is one of the major sins for which God has arranged punishment in this world and the hereafter. There are many verses and hadiths that clarify the punishment for adulterers. However, this threat does not include the repentant; whoever repents sincerely, God accepts their repentance and forgives them. The punishment is negated either by repentance, good deeds that expiate sins, or calamities through which God expiates faults. So the door of repentance is open, and there is no place for despair and hopelessness from the mercy of God, while being cautious of the whispers of Satan which either cause the servant to despair from the mercy of God or deceive him from God's plan.
