What is the ruling on a wife shunning her husband without an objective reason, and without leaving the marital home?

The woman who doubts her husband and forsakes him has combined two forbidden acts: the first is harboring ill suspicions about her husband. The fundamental principle regarding a Muslim is integrity and thinking well of them, and Allah has forbidden much of the ill suspicion towards believers. The second is her estrangement from her husband, whether in interaction or by abandoning his bed, and this constitutes nushuz (rebellion). Severe warnings have been reported regarding a woman who abandons her husband's bed. We advise the husband to try to understand the reason for his wife's suspicion and to avoid situations that create doubt.
