Is frequently holding the mushaf and placing it on a wooden stand during the standing (qiyam) prayer from a seated position considered excessive movement that invalidates the prayer?

Prayer is not invalidated by carrying and moving the wooden stand on which the Mus'haf (copy of the Qur'an) rests, because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to carry Umamah during his prayer. Therefore, slight movement for a need does not invalidate prayer. Rather, it is invalidated by much continuous action. As for much non-continuous action, and slight action in general, it does not invalidate prayer, but it is disliked without need. Slight permissible actions in prayer are those that are for a need and do not contradict the posture of prayer, such as carrying children, opening a door, killing a scorpion, picking up a fallen garment, tightening a loose waist-wrap (izar), and walking towards a runaway animal. The criterion for much and slight action is custom, and what resembles the action of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. All scattered actions that are considered many if gathered, but each one of them is slight on its own, fall under the category of slight action.
