Does the sister's husband become a father to the infant girl whom his wife breastfeeds with milk induced by medication and hormones, which is not a result of pregnancy from him, and do the mother's brothers and the husband's brothers become unlawful to the girl through fosterage?

Scholars differ concerning the issue of a woman's milk produced due to medication and hormones, and the preponderant opinion is that it establishes fosterage (rada'a) and thereby prohibits marriage. As for the woman's husband, he is not considered the father of the infant unless his wife's milk increased due to his intercourse with her. Otherwise, the infant is considered his foster stepdaughter through rada'a. Consequently, the foster mother's brothers are considered the infant's foster maternal uncles, because rada'a prohibits what lineage prohibits, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "What is prohibited by lineage is prohibited by fosterage." However, the foster mother's husband's brothers are not considered the infant's foster paternal uncles, because her husband is not her father through fosterage.
