The answer

The practice of masturbation is forbidden, and one must repent from it, increase fasting and supplication, and fill leisure time with beneficial activities. If you experience seminal emission (janāba), (ritual bath) is obligatory, unless you fear harm from the water, in which case you wash what you can and perform (dry ablution) for the rest. It is worth noting that some may fear that it is not permissible for someone who masturbates to be granted the concession of tayammum. The ruling on reciting aloud or silently in prayer does not differ between purification with water or tayammum; thus, you recite aloud in the Fajr prayer, silently in the supererogatory (rātiba) prayers, and you have the choice between reciting aloud or silently in the night prayer.
