Is it permissible to shave the beard out of necessity, and is it permissible to demand compensation for the harm, poverty, and torture inflicted upon a person?

"Growing a beard is among the rituals of Islam, and it is not permissible to shave it. As for demanding compensation for an unjust imprisonment due to loss of work, this is a matter of scholarly disagreement. We believe it is permissible to demand compensation for the imprisonment itself, not for the deprivation and psychological suffering. The wronged individual may bring their case before the ruler. Extremism in religion is blameworthy, and its criterion is exceeding the prescribed legal limit. Adherence to the commands of Allah and His Messenger is not extremism; rather, it is an obligation. Similarly, leniency is blameworthy. Islam calls for moderation and temperance."
