Is it permissible to shave the beard for a limited period (two or three months) to avoid a salary deduction or transfer to a remote location, given that the beard "is fought against in Egypt under the pretext of terrorism, especially in security institutions"?

The general rule is that shaving the beard is forbidden. However, it may be permissible in cases of extreme necessity, such as preserving one's life or family from being killed or imprisoned, or if keeping it leads to unbearable significant harm, such as dismissal from irreplaceable employment, or a deduction that takes most of the salary, or relocation to a place that causes extreme hardship. As for minor harm, such as a limited salary deduction or relocation to a place that is not far, it does not permit shaving the beard; because adherence to religion often exposes its adherent to some harm, and a Muslim should know that whoever abandons something for the sake of Allah, Allah will compensate him with something better.
