Is obedience to one's mother obligatory in shaking hands with women, given the hadiths that prohibit it?

Shaking hands with non-mahram women is Islamically forbidden (except for elderly women who are not a source of temptation, and this is a point of scholarly difference). Therefore, it is not permissible to obey one's mother in shaking hands, as it is a forbidden act, because "there is no obedience to a created being in disobedience to Allah." One should be gentle and kind with the mother when apologizing, and be patient with the harm people may inflict due to adherence to religious law, for in it lies elevation and honor.
