Revocation does not negate the financial rights of the revocable divorcee. Maintenance is her right because its cause is the marital relationship, which still exists. A revocable divorcee is a wife who inherits and is inherited from; therefore, her maintenance, clothing, and housing are obligatory. If the wife receives her maintenance, she owns it, and the revocation does not negate her ownership. Similarly, the compensatory gift (mut'ah) is not forfeited by revocation because its cause is the divorce, and the divorce still exists, as evidenced by one divorce counting against the husband. If the wife receives it, she owns it and it cannot be taken from her.
