Is it permissible to use sex toys, such as an artificial womb, to calm lust and avoid the forbidden, in cases where one is unable to bear it?

Masturbation is forbidden by most scholars due to the Quranic command to guard one's private parts except with one's wife or what one's right hand possesses. The verse indicates the prohibition of sexual enjoyment with anyone else. Some Maliki scholars have also adduced the prohibition of masturbation from the Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) hadith, which advises fasting when one is unable to marry. As for enjoying sex dolls, it is more harmful than masturbation, leading to sexual dysfunction, premature ejaculation, and various physical and psychological problems. Some jurists permit masturbation when a person fears for their religion or body, such as fearing fornication or illness, based on the principle of committing the lesser of two evils. However, if the harm of masturbation outweighs the harm of seminal retention, or if it will become a habit, there is no justification for permission. The permission for masturbation by hand does not apply to the use of dolls, due to their greater harm and the prohibition of purchasing statues.
