Is a wife's expulsion from the marital home, before and after divorce, considered an abandonment, and what is the meaning of a wife's statement to the authorized person: "I absolve you, my husband, from my 'iddah, my maintenance, and my solatium," and does this mean not observing the 'iddah in the marital home, and does reckoning the right with Allah absolve the husband from responsibility on the Day of Judgment?
A woman who is revocably divorced (ṭalāq rajʿī) should not leave her husband's home, nor should her husband expel her from it. If she was outside the home at the time of the divorce, she must return to the marital home.
A wife's statement to her husband, "I absolve you, my husband, of my waiting period (ʿidda), my maintenance (nafaqa), and my compensation (mutʿa)," is considered an absolution for what both parties intended and what was agreed upon concerning the wife's financial rights, which she has the right to relinquish.
However, the wife's statement, "I absolved you of my waiting period (ʿidda)," has no effect, because the right to the waiting period (i.e., remaining in the marital home) is a right of Allah Almighty, which neither spouse has the right to waive.
