What is the ruling on carrying bottles of alcohol to throw them in the trash for the purpose of cleaning?

It is forbidden for a Muslim to work as a servant for a disbeliever, as this entails humiliation for the Muslim and glorification of the disbeliever. This is based on the Almighty's saying: "And never will Allah grant to the disbelievers a way [to triumph] over the believers." As for a Muslim hiring himself out to a disbeliever for a specific job, it is permissible if the work is lawful, such as tailoring a garment, but it becomes forbidden if the work is unlawful, such as herding pigs or carrying wine.

Working in a cleaning establishment that requires carrying bottles of alcohol is not permissible due to several sharia-based prohibitions:

1. Assisting in sin and transgression, based on the Almighty's saying: "And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression." 2. Touching alcohol, which is forbidden. 3. Approving of evil and not denouncing it. 4. It involves self-abasement.

Therefore, one must abandon this work and repent to Allah.
