Reciting the Quran is a great act of worship, for which the reciter earns ten good deeds for every letter, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever recites a letter from the Book of Allah will receive a good deed, and a good deed is multiplied by ten. I do not say that Alif-Lam-Mim is one letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter, and Mim is a letter."

A Muslim should be keen on recitation, but without dedicating a specific time for it without a reason, for fear of falling into innovation (bid'ah). However, if there is a reason to dedicate a specific time, such as when a person is free, it is permissible without believing that time has a special virtue.

It is permissible for a man to wear a silver ring for adornment on his right or left hand, and the correct view is that the right hand is preferable.
