Why did the Prophet order Bilal to make the Adhan on the day of the Conquest of Makkah, and not make it himself?
The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did not give the Adhan on the al-Kaaba on the day of the Conquest of Mecca for several reasons, including:
1. His Sunnah was established that the Imam does not undertake the Adhan himself. 2. To infuriate the polytheists, as they would see Bilal, whom they had tortured, giving the Adhan on the Kaaba. 3. As an honor to Bilal, who endured persecution for the sake of Allah.
Ibn Kathir mentioned that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, ordered Bilal to give the Adhan on the Kaaba to enrage the polytheists with it.
