The second pronouncement of divorce with the words "You are divorced" is considered an explicit divorce, regardless of intention. The husband can take his wife back before the ' (waiting period) ends by saying "I take you back" or similar phrases, without needing to inform her guardian or obtain her consent. It is recommended to have witnesses for the reconciliation. The wife is permitted to adorn herself and beautify herself for her husband during the 'iddah because the marriage bond still exists.
