To what extent is the repentance of a repentant murderer whose earthly punishment has not been carried out accepted? And will he be punished on the Day of Judgment before entering Paradise?

Scholars have differed concerning the acceptance of the repentance of a deliberate murderer, and the most preponderant opinion is that it is accepted. He owes three rights: to Allah, to the slain, and to his heirs. For his repentance to be complete, the murderer must surrender himself to the guardians of the slain so that they may exact retribution, or forgive, or reconcile. If he does so, Allah's right is waived through repentance, and the guardians' right to retribution, reconciliation, or forgiveness is waived. The right of the slain remains, for which Allah will compensate him on the Day of Judgment. If the murderer does not surrender himself, he is not considered repentant, and his matter remains subject to Allah's will, and it cannot be definitively stated whether he will be punished or not.
