Does the seeking of permission in Surat An-Nur (24:58) apply only to the three mentioned times, even if there are doors? And is the child not required to seek permission if he enters suddenly outside of these times? And does the verse include female and male slaves in not seeking permission outside of these times? And what is the meaning of "let them ask permission as those before them asked permission" in verse (24:59)?

The noble verses stated that the permission-seeking of children and slaves is limited to the three times when nakedness is likely to be exposed, in order to relieve them of hardship due to their frequent movement. However, if it becomes customary for nakedness to be exposed at other times, then they must seek permission at that point. As for when children reach puberty, they must seek permission at all times, just like other adults. The statement that the ruling of this verse is abrogated is incorrect; rather, it is something that people have become lax about.
