What is the ruling on wearing artificial nails only in front of one's husband?

If they cause harm to the places where they are applied, then their ruling is prohibition, due to the hadith: "There should be neither harm nor reciprocating harm." If their application is permissible but disliked, then they must be removed during wudu and ghusl if they prevent water from reaching the nails and the skin around them.
