The majority opinion is that a child is not obliged to give their parents anything from their wealth if the parents are self-sufficient, nor is the child obliged to pay off their parents' debts, except as a voluntary act. It is permissible for a husband to give his parents whatever money they ask for, and the wife has no right to prevent him as long as he is spending on her and their children according to what is customary. It is not a condition that the dwelling be owned by him. There is no objection to advising the husband to balance his spending on his family with saving money.
