Who is Sheikh or Mufti Muhammad Abduh?

Muhammad Abduh was an Azhari scholar who held positions in fatwa and judiciary. Opinions about him varied between praise and criticism. His student Rashid Rida praised him, while others accused him of suspicious connections with Freemasonry and colonial figures such as Lord Cromer and Mr. Blunt.
