What is the ruling on dealing with Sheikh Nazim Al-Haqqani and those like him?

Muhammad Nazim Al-Haqqani Al-Naqshbandi, one of the Sufi Naqshbandi authorities who passed away in the year 1435 AH, was of the opinion that one cannot address Allah directly, but rather through "the dispensing poles" (al-aqtab al-mutasarrifin) who manage affairs. This constitutes polytheism (shirk) in both Lordship (rububiyyah) and Divinity (uluhiyyah). He also requested prayers from the Pope of the Vatican, while prohibiting direct address to Allah. Among his delusions was his claim to be "among those freed by the Most Merciful" (min utaqa' al-Rahman), and that the angel on his left does not record (his sins), in addition to the dancing, mixing, and immodesty that occurred in his gatherings. He fell into grave innovations (bid'ah), some of which are apostatizing (mukaffirah), and it is obligatory to warn against him and his group.
