There is no on rented or unrented vehicles. However, if the money obtained from their rent reaches the (equivalent to 85 grams of gold or 595 grams of silver) and a whole year passes on it, then zakat of 2.5% becomes obligatory on it. But if the income is spent during the year, there is no zakat on it.
