Who are those upon whom it is obligatory to make up the fast and offer expiation together: the traveler, the breastfeeding woman, the menstruating woman, and the woman in postpartum bleeding?

The jurists have agreed on the obligation for menstruating and post-natal women to break their fast and the prohibition of their fasting. They must make up the days they missed. As for the traveler and the breastfeeding woman, they are permitted to break their fast and must make up the days, based on the Almighty's saying: "But whoever among you is ill or on a journey [should fast] a number of other days."
