How can I honor my parents while being married and living far away from them, only visiting them rarely?

"Righteousness" is a comprehensive term for every good deed you can offer your father, such as calling him to check on him, providing financial assistance if you are able, and praying for him in his absence. Your marriage does not prevent you from being righteous towards your parents, as evidenced by what Al-Bukhari narrated in the chapter "A Woman's Maintaining Ties with Her Mother While Having a Husband," where he mentioned the Hadith of Asma' (may Allah be pleased with her) regarding her maintaining ties with her polytheist mother.
