Is it permissible to leave a job in a mixed-gender government hospital, specifically in the surgical operations department, when the employee is in debt?

It is permissible to engage in mixed-gender work if there is a need for it and no other employment is available except through it, provided that Islamic guidelines are adhered to, such as avoiding seclusion (khalwa), handshakes, and lowering the gaze. However, if the work necessitates falling into forbidden acts, then it is not permissible to remain in it except in cases of extreme necessity.
