What is the ruling on a wife requesting anal intercourse after she has become accustomed to it and no longer enjoys vaginal intercourse?

Engaging in anal sex with a woman is forbidden and considered a major sin in Islam. The one who commits it must repent and feel remorse, for there is no obedience to a creature in disobeying the Creator. Such abnormal acts are not accustomed to by those with a sound innate disposition. The spouses are advised to counsel each other to repent, to stay away from everything that incites these acts, such as forbidden visual content, and to occupy themselves with obedience to Allah, preparing themselves for each other, and fulfilling their sexual desire in the permissible way, exhibiting patience, frequently reciting the Quran and remembering Allah, and performing night prayers. If their situation does not improve and their desire for the forbidden act persists, then separation is better for them.
