Is marriage by divine decree and predestination, or by choice?

Everything happens by the decree of Allah the Almighty, and this includes marriage. Belief in divine decree is one of the pillars of faith. Nevertheless, we must still take the necessary means. When Allah the Almighty wills something for His servant, He prepares its means for him, for the means themselves are part of Allah's decree.
