What is the ruling on growing a beard, with a mention of contemporary scholars' opinions without severity?

Extremism in religion is blameworthy. Facilitation means taking advantage of a concession when needed, and executing religious commands through the easiest permissible methods. It does not mean negligence or leniency in fulfilling religious obligations. A Muslim must approach scholarly differences as one who follows the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, not as a lenient person who seeks out scholars' concessions and missteps. The ruling on shaving the beard has been clarified in previous fatwas.
