What is the ruling on the large and permanent salaries paid by the state to prisoners who have been incarcerated by the Jews for more than five years?

There is no harm in benefiting from the salaries and aid that the state pays to prisoners' families, even if they are not poor. This is based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying to Umar ibn al-Khattab: "If anything comes to you from this money while you are neither aspiring for it nor asking for it, then take it. And what does not, then do not let your soul follow it."
