Will the female questioner be held accountable for her brother cutting ties with her? And will her deeds be raised (to Allah) even though she did not cut ties with her brother, and her brother is the one who refuses reconciliation?
If the estrangement is initiated by the son and not the mother, then she bears no sin, and the sin falls upon him. He also bears the consequence of his deeds not being raised (to Allah) and not attaining forgiveness.
Efforts must be made to reconcile and end the estrangement through wise individuals, offering advice to the son and reminding him of the gravity of disobeying his mother and severing ties of kinship, in accordance with the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) saying: "There is no sin more deserving that Allah hasten the punishment for its perpetrator in this world, in addition to what He stores for him in the Hereafter, than oppression and cutting off ties of kinship."
It is recommended to frequently supplicate for his rectitude and guidance, especially the mother’s supplication, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Three supplications are answered without a doubt: the supplication of the oppressed, the supplication of the traveler, and the supplication of a parent for his child."
