There is no Shari (Islamic legal) evidence to prove that green is the color of Islam. Rather, the scholars have mentioned that the best color is white, based on the hadith: "Adhere to white garments, for they are among your best garments, and shroud your dead in them." Some have gone to the extent of recommending the color green because it is the clothing of the people of Paradise, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) wore it.
