What is meant by Al-Shafi'i's saying, "Whoever commits adultery, will have adultery committed against them, even if with their wall," and how can a wall commit adultery?

The circulating Hadith: "Whoever commitsZina, Zina will be committed against him, even if on the walls of his house," is weak and fabricated against the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Scholars have interpreted its meaning to be that the punishment for one who commits Zina may be that Zina occurs among his own family, due to the violation of his honor, and "the recompense of an evil deed is an evil deed like it." The meaning may be metaphorical or literal, like someone who vents his desires on the walls of his house.
