How can one restore their faith and determination in worship after their religious state has deteriorated, and what is the best way to return to their previous acts of obedience and devotion? Should the return be all at once or gradual?

To return to your previous state of obedience, remember the insignificance of this world and the greatness of the Hereafter. Also, adhere to supplicating Allah Almighty for steadfastness, and keep company with righteous people who will help you in your obedience. Strive to commit gradually to a small amount of supererogatory acts, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, the religion is ease," and "You must do what you are able to do."
