What is the ruling on a mixed committee of young men and women meeting in the mosque, and if it is not permissible, what is the correct way for them to meet?

Men and women must maintain segregation and not mix in mosques and public places, because mixing prevents lowering the gaze, which Allah has commanded, and the prohibition of displaying adornment. Women were distinguished from men in the mosque during the time of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and a special door was designated for them. The correct way is for men to be on one side and women on another, with women adhering to lawful covering and everyone lowering their gaze.
