Why did Allah consecrate the Qur'an for preservation, but not the Torah and the Gospel?
Allah distinguished the Quran by preserving it, unlike other scriptures, because it is a sign of the truthfulness of the prophethood of the Seal of Messengers, Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, and a proof for mankind until the Day of Judgment. Allah Himself undertook its preservation, saying: "Indeed, it is We who sent down the Dhikr (the Quran), and indeed, We will be its guardian." As for the preservation of the previous scriptures, Allah entrusted it to the rabbis and monks, so they were altered and distorted.
