Why is the compilation of the Quran from unbound scriptures by Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) considered a reason for its preservation, while the compilation of the Injeel (Gospel) by the companions of Jesus (peace be upon him) did not prevent its distortion?

The divine books are a guide for humanity, and its happiness is linked to following them. It is necessary to ascertain the authenticity of the divine book's attribution, and this certainty is only achieved by its transmission through authentic chains of narration to avoid distortion. The current Gospels are not the Gospel that was revealed to Jesus, peace be upon him. Rather, they are attributed to individuals such as Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, and there are no authentic chains of narration proving their attribution to them. The Gospels were not known until decades after the death of those to whom they are attributed, and they were considered sacred books in the fourth century CE. In contrast, the Quran was compiled and transmitted to us through continuous transmission (tawatur) and has been preserved from alteration and change, which guarantees its freedom from distortion.
