What is the wisdom behind sitting after the two prostrations before rising for the next Rak'ah?
The "جلسة الاستراحة" (session of rest - sitting after raising one's head from prostration before standing for the next rak'ah) is established in the Prophet's , especially in the of Malik ibn Al-Huwayrith in the Two Sahihs. It is performed after the first rak'ah and before the second, and after the third rak'ah and before the fourth.
