The permissibility of this is contingent upon: ensuring the safety from lineage confusion, the seriousness of the expected deformity or hereditary disease, and the specialists' determination that selecting the sex of the fetus is the only means to avoid the affliction. It is preferable for the procedure to be performed by female doctors. If this is not possible, it is permissible for male doctors to perform it due to the significant need to avoid hereditary diseases.
