What are the sayings of scholars regarding Ibn Sina, and is it true that some of them declared him an infidel?

Ibn Sina was accused of being one of the Qaramita, an esoteric sect, and of holding atheistic philosophical ideas. He was declared a disbeliever by Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah and Ibn al-Qayyim. Ibn al-Qayyim mentioned that Ibn Sina was among the esoteric Qaramita who did not believe in a beginning or an end, nor in a Lord or a Creator, nor in a Messenger. He added that they were heretics (zanadiqa) who disguised themselves with rejectionism (rafd) while concealing atheism. Ibn Taymiyyah explicitly declared him a disbeliever in several books, and this was transmitted from him by a number of scholars. It is necessary to clarify the deviance of the aberrant if there is a fear that contemporaries might be influenced by their ideas. More importantly, people should be invited to faith and connected to the Sunnah and the Quran.
