Is a man considered a hypocrite if he commits adultery with a non-Muslim woman and then marries her, knowing that he belongs to a Muslim family and his wife has not yet embraced Islam?

Adultery is one of the gravest sins, and sincere repentance is obligatory for anyone who commits it. Marriage to the woman with whom one committed adultery is not valid if both parties have not repented, because Allah has forbidden marriage to unchaste women, whether they are disbelievers or Muslim women. The verse ("This day [all] good foods have been made lawful for you...") and the word "muhsanat" (chaste women) therein refers to chaste women, and this includes Muslim women and women of the People of the Book. Therefore, the marriage between them must be annulled. If they both repent, they can marry under the conditions of Islamic law. However, it is not advisable to marry the same woman even if she repents. It is also not permissible to force a wife who is from the People of the Book to convert to Islam.
