Is it valid to call Allah "the Wondrous" (Al-Ajeeb) when glorifying Him and contemplating His creation, and if not, why?

The scope of informing about Allah Almighty is broader than that of naming and describing Him. Thus, it is permissible to inform about Him with anything that can be correctly attributed to Him, even if it is not explicitly stated in the religious texts. This differs from naming and describing, which are Tawqifi (i.e., depend on divine revelation). Therefore, al-'Ajab (wonder) or at-Ta'ajjub (astonishment) can be used to inform about Allah, but He cannot be named or described by them, due to the lack of evidence in religious texts.

Although "Al-'Ajeeb" (The Wonderful/Astonishing) is not among Allah's names or attributes, it is permissible to inform about Him with it in terms of meaning. It is, however, more appropriate for it to be a description of Allah Almighty's command, actions, and wisdom in His creation, such as: "O Wonderful in Creation or Making," or "O Creator of Wonders."

The terms mentioned in the religious texts are more fitting, and they include: "Originator of the heavens and the earth," "The work of Allah, Who perfected everything," and "Who perfected everything which He created."
