Is it permissible to work in a mixed laboratory where there are women, given the fear of neglecting prayers?

If you find a permissible job that suffices you, then it is not permissible for you to work in a field that leads to negligence in prayer or delaying it past its obligatory time. Similarly, it is not permissible to work in a place where men and women intermingle in a way that does not ensure safety from temptation.

However, if you cannot find any other work, then you must be diligent in performing prayers at their prescribed times, and if that is difficult, then perform them before their time expires. You must also avoid being alone with non-mahram women and interact with them only as necessary, while lowering your gaze.

If you are sincere in seeking Allah's pleasure and you persevere, you will find ease and help from Him, as Allah Almighty says: "And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out And will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever relies upon Allah - then He is sufficient for him." And He says: "And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him ease in his affair."
