Is communication via Messenger between a mixed work team (young men and women) to discuss project matters only, without delving into any other topics, considered a mistake?

Conversation between young men and women opens the door to fitna (temptation/strife) and may lead to what is haram (forbidden). Therefore, one of the objectives of Sharia (Islamic law) is to block the means (to evil). The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "I have not left behind me any fitna more harmful to men than women." Jurists have also prohibited speaking with a young woman without need. Al-Khadimi said: "Speaking with a young non-mahram woman is not permissible without need, because it is a place of fitna." Hanbali and Shafi'i jurists have explicitly stated the impermissibility of exchanging greetings (salam) between a man and a young woman to prevent fitna. Therefore, conversation between young men and women via Messenger is absolutely not permissible, in order to cut off fitna.
