Is it a condition for the aqiqah to be slaughtered after sunrise?
Scholars have differed on the sufficiency of the 'aqiqah if it is slaughtered after dawn but before sunrise. Ibn al-Majishun considered it sufficient, while in "Al-Mabsut" it is stated that it is not sufficient. The 'aqiqah is slaughtered on the seventh day of birth, in the late forenoon.
