Could you please provide a biography of Ziyad ibn Labid?

Ziyad ibn Labid al-Ansari al-Khazraji, a venerable Companion, witnessed the Pledge of Aqaba, Badr, and all the battles with the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. He migrated with him to Medina. He was one of the Prophet's administrators over Hadramawt and played a role in fighting the apostates. He assumed leadership for the Muslims after the Prophet, and he was the one who captured al-Ash'ath ibn Qays. He settled in Kufa and resided in Syria, and he passed away at the beginning of Mu'awiyah's caliphate in the year 41 AH.
