Is sitting to watch a religious program or lecture, or listening to an Islamic tape, considered a "gathering of remembrance" (majlis dhikr), and does the same ruling apply if a woman is menstruating and listening to or watching these lectures alone?

Listening to lectures and religious lessons via television and the like contains a great deal of good, and it is considered a gathering of remembrance, but one who attends it is not rewarded as much as one who attends in person at the mosque. It is permissible for a menstruating woman to listen to lectures and lessons via television, tapes, or directly, and it is not forbidden for her to do so; rather, it is a good deed for which she will be rewarded, as long as she does not enter the mosque.
