Who is the Companion who pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, never to ask people for anything?

It has been authentically reported from Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Who guarantees me that he will not ask people for anything, and I guarantee him Paradise?" Thawban said: "I do." So he never used to ask anyone for anything. Similarly, Muslim narrated from Awf ibn Malik al-Ashja'i that the Prophet (peace be upon him) took a pledge from them that they would not ask people for anything.
