Is the statement: "It has been made lawful for you to eat the meat of land and sea game, except what the soul dislikes, and unlawful to eat carrion, that which has been strangled, and the meat of swine," an interpretation of a Hadith or a Quranic verse, and what is the text of the Hadith or verse if it exists?

Some of the terms that were asked about are mentioned in the Holy Quran. Allah (SWT) says: "Lawful to you is the pursuit of water-game and its use for food - for the benefit of yourselves and of those who travel by sea; but forbidden to you is the pursuit of land-game as long as you are in the state of Ihram (definition) (for Hajj or Umrah (definition))." [Al-Ma'idah: 96]. And His saying: "He has only forbidden to you dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah. But whoever is forced [by necessity], neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit], there is no sin upon him." [Al-Baqarah: 173]. And His saying: "Forbidden to you are dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah, and [animals] strangled or beaten to death or from a head-long fall or by the goring of horns, and that which has been (partially) eaten by a wild animal – unless you are able to slaughter it [in due form];" [Al-Ma'idah: 3]. And His saying: "He has only forbidden to you dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah. But whoever is forced [by necessity], neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit] - then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful." [An-Nahl: 115]. And His saying: "and makes lawful for them the good things and prohibits for them the evil things" [Al-A'raf: 157].
