What is the ruling on a daughter shunning her father and refusing to speak or sit with him after an argument that led to the father hitting her?

The daughter erred by cutting off her father and not speaking to him. This behavior is impermissible with common Muslims, so how much more so with one's own father? She must repent and seek her father's رضا (pleasure/satisfaction), for the pleasure of the Lord lies in the pleasure of the father, and His wrath in his wrath. The father should deal with his daughter with wisdom, gentleness, and kindness.
